Vicky Arlidge Composer and Musical Comedian

For over 20 years Vicky Arlidge has been composing for television, theatre, audiobooks, children's concerts, musicals and radio. She has written the music for two BAFTA nominated TV series' and an EMMY nominated documentary. Her children's CDs have sold all over the world.
'Umbrella Assassin' was made by Windfall Films in 2006 for Channel 5 and WNET USA. It received an EMMY nomination for 'Best Documentary'. Vicky has collaborated with Two Sides TV for over 15 years, creating a total of 260 programmes for Channel 5's Milkshake. The series, 'Animal Antics', was nominated 'Best Childrens' Series' by BAFTA two years in a row.

In October 2016 Vicky composed the music and musically directed "A Very British Fire', a theatre production performed in Middle Temple Hall, London, marking the 350th anniversary of the fire of London.

In 2015 Vicky completed yet another (!) children's television series for Channel 5, 'Seaside Antics', which is currently being broadcast around the world.

In January 2013 Vicky collaborated with members of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and DBS Law to create a hugely successful run of shows about road safety for seven year olds. The show was awarded the Jaguar Land Rover Business Champions for Arts and Business Awards. It was also awarded a 'Big Tick' Arts and Business Award.

Vicky has worked extensively in the theatre, including workshops with Director Phil Wilmott, in association with the Charing Cross Theatre, London. She has also written the music for over fifteen productions made by the European Theatre Company, as well as plays for the Edinburgh Fringe and Middle Temple Hall, London.

She also collaborated with players from the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra in 2012, producing a children's concert based on the book 'Commotion in the Ocean'.

As musical director Vicky has worked extensively with actors, singers and musicians. In 'Le Prince D'Amour', a production for Middle Temple Hall, Vicky directed an eight-piece orchestra. On 'Clock onto Safety' Vicky composed, orchestrated and produced parts for a 10 piece orchestra.

Her work as a violinist and pianist has included the ReCreation Theatre Company's nationwide tours of Jane Austen's 'Persuasion', a season at the Palace Theatre Southend (Cinderella) and a residency at Claridges (including a performance for Ringo Starr, who incidently requested 'no Beatles songs'!)
